What we collect
Standard server-side request logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for operational purposes — debugging, abuse prevention, and capacity planning. Logs rotate on a 30-day cycle.
Cookies
KeyFob Guide does not set first-party tracking cookies. We don't run analytics that follow you across sessions. If you see ads on the site, the ad provider may set their own cookies governed by their privacy policy — see your browser's site settings to manage them.
Advertising
The site is supported by display advertising. Ad providers may use cookies and similar technologies to serve interest-based ads. We don't share personally identifiable information with ad providers; the ad provider's own privacy policy governs whatever data they collect through ad impressions on our pages.
Third-party data
We query the public NHTSA vPIC API at seed time to validate vehicle make and model coverage. Querying the NHTSA API is server-side; visitors to KeyFob Guide do not directly contact NHTSA.
Contact & corrections
If you submit a correction via our contact page, we use the information you provide solely to evaluate and incorporate the correction. We don't add your email to any list.
Data retention & your rights
Server access logs are retained for 30 days. If you'd like a record of any data we may hold related to your visits, contact us via the contact page and reference the IP address(es) you'd like searched.
Children's privacy
KeyFob Guide is not directed to children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with the revision date noted at the top.
